Barbara Ann Corcoran

 Barbara Ann Corcoran was a speaker, investor, and businesswoman from the United American. The Corcoran Group is a New York-based real estate brokerage. In 2001, it was sold to NRT at $66 million. Corcoran quit the firm shortly thereafter. Corcoran was one of the original Shark Tank investors. She has appeared in every season of ABC's Shark Tank. Since February of 2020, she's signed 53 deals with the show, with the most significant one being $350,000 in 40 percent of Coverplay. Corcoran was born in Edgewater, New Jersey, the second of 10 children in a working class Irish-Catholic family. [8] Her mother, Florence, was a homemaker. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. his father was a skilled worker throughout Corcoran's early years. The family relied on food delivered by a friendly local grocer for free food. Corcoran recalls her father being an alcohol-dependent drunkard who often treated her mother with disrespect and disrespect, especially after having consumed alcohol. Corcoran struggled at school, and was later told that she was dyslexic. She went to a local Catholic elementary school, and then began high school at St. Cecilia High School in Englewood. After failing several courses in her first year of high school, Corcoran transferred to Leonia High School and graduated as a D student.
